2025 Fête des cultures: Tuesday, February 25th: 5-7 pm
Fêtes des Cultures (Celebration of Cultures) is a unique, fun, free school event that celebrates the countries and cultures from around the world represented by our Normandale families. Please join us to learn amazing facts from the posters our students prepare and watch captivating performances from around the world. You can also enjoy sampling food from countries represented by our Normandale families that will tickle your taste buds. It’s a night you do not want to miss!
A green flyer will be coming home in your student’s backpack. We will be creating a tree in the main lobby sharing the traditions and cultures of all Normandale students. Please return the leaf by February 14th to your student’s teacher.
How Students Can Participate
Students can create a poster presentation (similar to the Imagination Fair) featuring a country or state they've visited, are interested in, or a country their ancestors are from. Be creative! Have fun! Make it colorful and interesting! For poster presentations, please register your student: STUDENT POSTER SIGN UP
How Parents & Families Can Participate
Please consider signing up to donate food, volunteer to serve food, or be a runner and help with various tasks during the event. Help us share different foods from your culture or travels! FOOD + VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

December community service project
The assembly on December 19 was bursting with energy and excitement about Community Service projects! Our 5th-grade ambassadors proudly teamed up with future ambassadors to reveal the incredible organizations each grade will be supporting this year. The presentations were extra special, with ambassadors speaking in English and their younger partners presenting in French. It was an amazing moment to highlight the impact each grade is making for their organization—what an inspiring way to celebrate their hard work!

NORMANDALE CIRCLE DROP-OFF & PICK-UP
Here are a few important notes about morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up from the circle at door 10 (the Normandale main door.)
The Normandale Circle is for quick drop-offs and pick-ups only. If your student(s) need assistance getting in or out of your vehicle, please park in the lot and walk them up to the sidewalk.
Please do not exit your vehicle during drop-off and pick-up.
Please pull as far forward in the circle as you can before dropping off or picking up your student(s).
To enter the circle, use the OUTSIDE lanes of the parking lot. You may not enter the circle from the middle lane of the parking lot.
Please exit the circle as quickly and safely as possible. If you need to check your phone or take care of other tasks, move to the parking lot so you are not blocking the flow of traffic behind you.
For more information, check out the Normandale Traffic Plan. Thank you for helping to keep traffic moving!
Welcome to the online presence of Normandale Elementary French Immersion. We hope this website will help you discover more about our school and how you can volunteer your time and talent to help us build an outstanding learning community.
At Normandale, all families are members of the PTO and are a vital part of the school community. We are honored to support the dedicated teachers, interns and staff at Normandale whose commitment to innovation and excellence helps its educational programs to thrive.
The PTO plays an active role in the educational enrichment of the students at Normandale by providing funding in many areas, including main support of our intern program. In addition, the PTO organizes events such as our annual fall gala “La Belle Soiree”, Intern Rally Month, Read-A-Thon, Scholastic Book Fair, Science Fair, our spring carnival “La Kermesse” and much more.
When your child begins at Normandale French Immersion, you become part of our “French village”. We look forward to working with you as we support a school community that educates, loves and respects our children.
