CLASSROOM PLACEMENT
We will share classroom placements and bus assignments on Infinite Campus via LaunchPad at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
If your student is a bus rider, bus assignments will be available in the LaunchPad on Monday, Aug. 17 for all schools. We recommend families check LaunchPad a few days before school starts to ensure you have the most accurate information. Visit the district's Transportation Services page for more information. 

CONNECT AND ASSESS DAYS
Connect and Assess days are high-priority, one-on-one conferences providing teachers with individualized knowledge about each student and a chance for parents to share information about their child. Also, school pictures will be taken during Connect and Assess. Conenct and Assess meetings are different from Normandale’s Open House event, which is an optional event designed to promote community building, fun, and an introduction to the year ahead.

2026 Connect and Assess Dates:

  • August 28- 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • ​​​​​​​August 31 - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A sign-up document for Connect and Assess will be sent on August 18 at 9 a.m. with directions on how to sign up. Supervision/activities for siblings (ages 3-12) will be available while families are in the building attending your student(s) Connect and Assess meeting.  Assessments given during Connect and Assess are brief screeners designed to help teachers understand where their students are academically and help them prepare to meet student needs most effectively. By screening before the beginning of the school year, teachers can better target their instruction to the needs of their students beginning on the first day of school.

MORE IMPORTANT DATES   

  • Kindergarten Popsicle Social: For families with incoming kindergartners don’t miss Normandale’s kindergarten popsicle social on August 23 at 4pm at Countryside Park 6240 Tracy Ave

  • ​​​​​​​Open House: August 27 from 8:00- 9:30 a.m.  You will be able to meet teachers and interns, visit classrooms and get information from community partners.

We have sold all of our extra yearbooks. If you would still like a 2025-26 yearbook, you can order the current yearbook via TreeRing and it will ship to your home. To order a yearbook, first make a TreeRing account.

You can also purchase yearbooks for previous school years so please review your order carefully because orders cannot be cancelled or modified after they are submitted.
