EDINA FRENCH IMMERSION TEACHER INTERN PROGRAM

Normandale Elementary, a recipient of the prestigious LabelFrancÉducation award has one of the largest and highest rated intern programs in the country. Thanks to our Normandale and Extended French Families’ contributions, we are able to bring close to 30 French student teachers to Edina to strengthen the work done in our classrooms. For the 2024-2025 School Year, 21 interns will train at Normandale Elementary, 3 at Valley View Middle School, and 3 at Edina High School.

The experience our interns bring to support the classroom is invaluable to our students. Interns assist with language and accent support, literacy and small group instruction, personalized learning, and classroom management. Additionally, their backgrounds enhance the immersion experience by sharing their cultures and traditions.
